Exploring the World?

The World that I am about to explore

I want to go and see the world
but... each day that pass...

i always ended up seeing myself in front of my computer.

tsk!
and... that is about to change!
Hopefully.

There are a lot of us who wants to explore the world.
I, myself, want to go too. hopefully.
Anyways, dreaming to actually go is so much different from the actually going part.
In the dream, everything is perfect.
It would just be all *yeheey!!!* and *whooohoooos~!!!*
All you would just think about is how to have F-U-N!.
My gawd if only that is true then the world would be a better place to live in.
Sad to say, it is highly imppossible.
Oh c'mon! There are a lot of things to think about.
Like: Step One:  Obtain the right documents, Step Two:  Buy travel insurance, Step Three: Choose a good bag, Step Four: Pack well, pack light, Step Five:  Research the culture/etiquette, Step Six:  Diseases and vaccinations, Step Seven:  Communication games, Step Eight:  Budget accordingly, Step Nine:  Don’t be afraid to travel alone and lastly, Step Ten:  Give back

based on: http://www.explorergirls.com/top_ten_Travel_Steps

Those are just the 'general' part.
If we talk about it in detailed, *Oh my gosh* there will be a whole LOT of preparations to do.
Especially, for those newbies like me.
I have been living under my parents' guard for years. YEARS!
So, if I will try to accomplish one of my greatest dream--exploring the world--in life... well that would be a whole lot challenging to do.
I know that someday I will actually go there! *just wait world*
But right now, I will just be contented of being dreamy about this.

Goofing with friends.
Seeing these lovely girls is such a blessing.
It is rare to find genuine friends and treating each other like sisters.
We complete each other.
I am just overwhelmed to have them.
We may fight, misunderstand and annoy each other but it is all part of loving.
During our high school days, we are always together even though we have different classes.
It is really easy to just visit one another.
But now that we are in college, we are really  having a tough time to just be together.
It makes me sad that I don't get to see them much as before.
 They are my energy boosters.
We do so many boring stuffs that other people hate to do but we could always find ways to make it so much fun.
Three of us, goes to the same university and the other one is in another university.
Even though we are in the same university we are still having difficult times just to meet.
I don't feel that college' happiness that everyone is talking about.
 I am not even pressured.
I feel nothing.
What is wrong with my college life.
Is it me.
I hope not.
Everytime that I am with my new college friends, I can't help but think "I hope my high school friends are here"
I know that I being utterly rude but still... I miss them.

Cebu's Downtown Area

This has been my downtown view since I started college.
When I started studying in my younger years, I have been surrounded by trees, grasses and not much pollution.
Everything has changed when I entered college.
I didn't plan or dream of studying in the city.
I hate the pollution, the crowd, the traffic and the poorly planned out establishments.
They irritate a hell out of me.
There are so many dangers in this place.
You must NEVER look weak or gullible in walking around the city.
You don't want to be an easy target for pickpockets, snatching and other not-so-good-happenings.
I know I am just writing some of the bad stuff around the downtown area but that would be the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions about the "downtown area of Cebu", right?
I am not much different compared to them.
Everyday, I would always take precautions for myself and my stuff.
The city is really a scary place to be for a kid like me (no oppositions please).
There are a lot of not-so-good-things in the city area.
But also, we should not forget about the good stuff that it has to offer to the public.

The good thing about this place (Downtown area of Cebu) is that... there are LOTS of bargains all around the streets.
For example, Metro Gaisano, 138, Colonade, and a whole lot of stalls in the sidewalk; there are cool, indigenious, and world quality products that is just waiting to be found (I randomly find one); and a whole lot more.
There are also business, religious ,and historical establishments that are located in this area.
My university, USJ-R, is also located in the city vicinity. There are also other schools and university in the city like ACT, USC main, CNU, and a few more. There are also a lot of historical places to be. One of my favorite is the Fort San Pedro.

Fort San Pedro

Before, Fort San Pedro served as the Spanish stronghold for war here in Cebu. Now, it is one of the tourist spots. Canons, old rooms and great structure is there awaiting for the travelers.

Basilica Menor de Sto. NiƱo

Magellan’s Cross

Cebu is the center of Christian Religion in the Philippines. This is where everything started. Cebu is one of the major tourist spot in the Philippines. There may be a lot of bad rumors circulating about the downtown areas. But, no one could get rid of the fact that this is also a great place to be. You haven't experience Cebu when you won't get the chance to have an adventure in Cebu's Downtown Areas. (Oh yeah!)
